Rules: General Article Construction

A set of guidelines for myself on how to construct articles.

Media

In-between the article title and the next section title include a summary of whatever it is. Explain what it is and what it’s about. Include additional notes about the article/media that won’t really fit anywhere else.
The first section should be a review. Then include some notes on the worldbuilding. Include a character sheet? Afterwards, go crazy.
Once you’re done with the general article add a Trivia/Links section. Combine the two as it something something who cares.
Tag the article at the end with whatever media it is and if it’s finished.

Reviews

The reviews are kind of shit on this site, so fix them up like so.
Include an “initial impression” part. Basically, this is like what I do nowadays.
Then move onto the deeper dive, which will be me rewatching the film and taking notes of everything; then compiling them all together into a review.

Most Media articles should be relatively the same.
The main sections of each article should be:

  1. Title section
    • Includes a short summary of the media.
  2. Reviews
    • Includes the reviews for the media.
  3. Trivilinks
    • Includes Trivia and External Links.

For Games:

  1. Title section
  2. Reviews
  3. Gameplay
    • Summarizes the gameplay.
  4. Characters
    • A list of characters, descriptions of them and their role in the story.
  5. Worldbuilding
    • Certain aspects of the media’s worldbuilding described.
  6. Speculah and Misc
    • Speculation and Miscellaneous things.
  7. Trivilinks

For Anime, Manga, Books, Light Novels:

  1. Title section
  2. Reviews
  3. Characters
  4. Worldbuilding
  5. Speculah and Misc
  6. Trivilinks

For Visual Novels:

  1. Title section
  2. Reviews
  3. Gameplay
  4. Characters
  5. Worldbuilding
  6. Speculah and Misc
  7. Trivilinks

Other shite

When to use brackets and footnotes

I noticed I used them interchangeably and randomly, so it would probably be better to figure out when to use which.
